Typical color consultations for the exterior of a home take 1.5 to 2 hours. Mary analyzes the home's architectural style, its material (roof, brick, stone, stucco, siding, etc.), its immediate neighbors' homes and the neighborhood's overall appearance in order to create a new exterior color scheme that best suits the home. The absolute best time to hire Mary Donovan is before you hire the roofer, painter, window replacement company or general contractor. Let her help you make all those product selections so everything works great together. Once her client agrees to Mary's recommendations, she writes up every detail needed on a form suitable for the client's HOA approval process and any contractors. Clients are left with the completed form, actual 3" x 4" paint chip samples and the names of Mary's preferred contractors. As always, clients can elect to do the physical work themselves or hire anyone of their choosing.
Color consultations for the interior of homes can take anywhere from 1 hour to 3.5 hours. The reason they vary so greatly is because sometimes a client just wants to use one wall color throughout, yet another client may wish to have 5 different wall colors inside their home. Some clients just need paint colors, but others also need recommendations for lighting, appliances and floor covering colors. Just like with exterior color consultation clients, the interior color consultation clients are left with the completed form, actual 3" x 4" paint chip samples and the names of Mary's preferred contractors. As always, clients can elect to do the physical work themselves or hire anyone of their choosing.
